Scarpa boots are compatible with Shift binding
Apparently, there is a little confusion over whether the new Shift tech bindings are compatible with Scarpa boots. More specifically, the Salomon S/Lab Shift MNC 13, Atomic Shift MNC 13 bindings. We are happy to report that, because SCARPA follows DIN/ISO industry standards and ‘tech insert’ specifications for compatibility, they are compatible— no problemo. The bindings work with the Maestrale, Freedom and Gea series boots. The only excerption is the Scarpa F1 boot which has a funky toe and does not meet the industry standards (in order to save weight), I'm guessing if you're like us, you wouldn't match the F1 boots with the Shift binding anyway....
That's it. A little editorial here: it wouldn\t make sense for the makers of the Shift to NOT be compatible with Scarpa touring boots. Because of the popularity of Scarpa boots (we love 'em), a compatibility issue would mean a big chunk of the market would be shut out. Compatibility seems like a no-brainer. If there's any doubt, let me say it again---Scarpa boots are compatible with the new Shift bindings. Mount 'em and ride 'em!
