    • Arms of Andes Alpaca Half Zip & Wool Leggings

Arms of Andes Alpaca Half Zip
    & Wool Leggings

The base-layer is one of the most critical pieces of clothing for managing warmth in the backcountry. Alpaca wool is credited with some of the best characteristics for temperature management making it ideal for backcountry skiing. We are going to be doing a more in-depth review this winter but thought it important to make sure it got included in this year’s Holiday Gift Guide to get on your Christmas list.

Arms of Andes Half-Zip and Leggings are made from 100% Alpaca wool that has natural moisture wicking characteristics and provide nature odour resistance. These natural characteristics are what enable the Alpacas to withstand the extreme temperature changes in the Andes Mountains. Where the temperatures can swing from sub zero at night to high solar radiation during the day.

Alpaca wool has semi-hollow fibres that make it both lighter and a better insulator than Merino wool.

The Half-Zip, in addition to being a great base layer, also has enough attention to detail to make it a part of your everyday wear. The Half-Zip and Leggings also come in both men’s and women’s sizes and styles.

In addition to providing high quality outdoor clothing, Arms of Andes is also a very eco-friendly, sustainable manufacturer. They carry out the production at every stage from sourcing the fleece and yarn to the manufacturing of the garments.
