Norrona Octa Zip Hood

What makes the Norrona Octa Zip Hoody an excellent hybrid midlayer for the backcountry is the combination of its wind resistant outer layer and moisture management, warmth and breathable inner layer. The outer layer is made with aero 200 that is know for being lightweight and breathable with some wind resistance. The inner layer is soft mesh layer that is comfortable against the skin. It is made from a combination of mostly recycled polyester blends.

Some of the nice added features are large hand warming zippered pockets, a good size check pocket with a divider on the inside and an extra zipper slider on the chest for additional chest ventilation. The hood features a small cap section that keeps it out of your eyes. And both the waist and wrist have elasticated hems. The elastic hems on the sleeves are especially nice as the sleeves are a decent length. The back also has a decent drop to keep the wind and snow from coming up your back.
