BC Snow Survey and Water April 1, 2024

Hard to believe winter is coming to a close.  As I watch as all my hardcore ski buddies putting their skis to bed and taking out their mountain bikes it is interesting to reflect on the snow over the season.  The one thing I always look at is the Snow Survey from BC.  Here you'll see what the snowpack is sitting at over the season and what we might expect in the way of runoff for Spring.  The big number this year is we are 61% below normal snowpack for this time of the year.  Yes, our warm winter with limited snow has caught up to us.  Here is the link to the report if you are into this geeky info.  Lets hope the mountain bike trails and upper elevations hold a little water for the upcoming summer season.
