Journey to Denali:
Departure: In October 2002, Veyt began his journey from Belgium, a country with a relatively low elevation compared to the mountains he aimed to climb.
Crossing the Atlantic: He sailed across the Atlantic Ocean to reach the eastern coast of the United States.
Biking Across America: Upon reaching America, Veyt biked across the continent to Alaska, a significant effort in itself.
Arrival and Skiing: Once in Alaska, he skied to the base camp of Denali.
