Staying Safe with Wilderness First Responder

Just wanted to share a recommendation if you are looking at taking an in depth first aid course. I took the 80 hour Wilderness First Responder Course with Wilderness Medical Consultants and loved it. It's the only WFR taught by a medical doctor, which is a great benefit when you want to know what exactly happens in ___________ situation with __________ medical condition. He was an incredible wealth of knowledge. The course was taught by John (the doc) and his partner Shelley and I found the whole thing interesting, well presented and I learned more than I would have ever thought possible in ten days. They did a great job - just wanted to share my fantastic experience if you are searching out courses. (*I don't work for them! Sharing info only...) Definitely worth checking out!

Wilderness First Responder is an advanced backcountry first aid course which will give you the knowledge and confidence to manage or assist in assessment, first aid, treatment and rescue in remote settings. It's also the prerequisite if you want to get into guiding. Has anyone else taken this course with WMC? What did you think?
