Aspect Importance in BC
Hi there- My name is Tom, nice to join this forum!
I'm planning a trip for next winter to eastern interior BC...I'm doing a bunch of google map searching for a low angled tree runs and finding a lot of really good looking stuff on southern aspects.
In Colorado, southern aspectmeans lots of rocks and thin cover and serious wind scour. Do southern aspects in BC have similar conditions?

If you're having an average or above average snow year, are the majority of southern aspects skiable in terms of coverage?
Solar radiation consolidates our snow pack here but mostly it just melts anything south facing. Are southern aspects generally more stable in BC? Seems like the combination of more snow, with a little less sun, but still some sun, would make for generally safe/stable southern facing slopes. Reasonable assumption??
