Road access to Kokanee?
I'd like to do some late spring/early summer ski touring at Kokanee. Any info on when road access opens up? Either Kokanee Creek to Gibson Lake or Woodbury Creek to get to Silver Spray?

2014-05-24 12:58:09A couple friends went up to woodbury about 3 weeks ago and brought a chainsaw and cleared some trees off the access road so it was good to go at that time. Hopefully it still is!

Drove up Gibson Lake road today. At 8 km there's avy debris blocking the road. It's about 10 feet deep, so no getting through. I would guess there will be other blockages up higher as well.
Parks usually clears the road late-May - early June, so hopefully it will open soon.

2014-06-30 13:14:16Went up to Gibson Lake a few days ago. They did some maintenance on the road, so the drive up to the Old Growth Trail is much smoother than last year. Past that, it's business as usual (ie: rough).
