It keeps getting better - \"Soap Box Comp\"

We packed up the sleds and left Canmore at 500 am jan 11 ahead of the crouds.  The roads were so brutal if I wasnt 2 + hours ahead of louise's opening I probably would have stopped there.  We plowed onwards through Golden to arive at quartz creek parking lot with almost 2 ft of fresh right there in the lot.  The groomer had gone up the trail the night before so the snow was over the windsheild of the sled the whole way into the cabin.  All we could do was pack some trails in hoping for a little visibility todo some runs.

Sunday was a bit more fruitfull.  Great visibility in the morning, with high elevation clouds in afternoon.  The snow pack definitely dictated conservative lines which ment lots of getting stuck due to deep snow and lower angles.  After a bit more confidence we were able to get into some fun mini features safely.
