Red Resort and Salomon present the \"Gathering\"

Red Resort is hosting the Gathering this coming weekend and with all the snow falling outside this morning it promises to be a great event:

Now in its fourth year, The Gathering presented by Salomon, has earned a reputation as a far-out meeting of the best minds (and legs) in skiing. Over the past three decades, the core Gatherers formed the nucleus of an international network of athletes and adventurers, writers and photographers, and above all, free spirits who pioneered the ski bum lifestyle. Along the way, and not by accident, they wrote the rules on how a proper ski event should be planned, thrown, and hosed down after.

The Gathering is a one-of-a-kind ski celebration bringing together sport that speak to the culture and history of skiing by featuring the images, stories and the people behind them. This high energy event presents a unique reflection on skiing and mountain culture where it has been and where it is going. While the collective passion for skiing is the core of the event, The Gathering's main focus is to showcase unique photo and film presentations by select artists, athletes and storytellers. Each of the two evenings of entertainment will have a distinct personality and style.
