Nepals' 20,000 Loboche East Peak
A contingent of the Backcountry Skiing Canada team spent five weeks in Nepal this fall trying to get their ski legs ready before the snow fell. They spent 18 days in the Khumbu Region trekking and included a summit of 20,000' Loboche East peak as well as the usual climb up Gokyo Ri and Kala Pattar, the later for sunset views of Everest.
There will be a full trip report ready at some point this winter with photos and a video so stay tuned. In the mean time we would like to thank Rab for outfitting us with some essential gear that made the trip infinitely more comfortable. As you can see in the photos below Rab was kind enough to supply us with their new MeCo 250 Zip shirts for him and her, which is a heavier version of the Rab Meco 120 shirt reviewed reviewed previously. On the women's side there was the Sawtooth soft shell pants just like the mens version reviewed here as well as the Infinity Down Jacket that we will be preparing a full review of in the new year. For him the Generator Stretch jacket was a warm zonal construction Primaloft jacket for hiking along with the Heuco Pants. We also wore Rab's Logo Beanie and Phantom Grip gloves to keep warm through out the trip.
