      Ah, the backcountry skier's emergency bag. Whether you call it a "MacGyver Kit", an "Oh S**t Kit" or "The difference between sleeping inside and outside tonight", it's a little pack item that can make absolutely all the difference. Below is a look at ACMG Guide Jasmin Caton's. If you don't already have one, hers is a great template to follow.

      #1 item: Leatherman: for any tool that is a must have, Leatherman can be made to work in most situations (I telemark)

      Im radical about having a simple headlamp. Been involved in many rescues over my career where people who got in trouble simply ran out of daylight only to compound the problem.

      Duct tape: not a roll, but a generous wrap around the ski poles. Can be used for a blown out pant leg, first aid or whatever.

      Seems a little "limited" to me! Especially the "communication device", cell phones are notoriously unreliable in the backcountry! A binding that blows out might need more then just screws in some cases, as you might not be able to just screw a new screw into the old hole! I would include some epoxy and bailing wire. Also include  various sizes of hose clamps in case one breaks a pole (can also be used to fix both tele and AT bindings)!
