Snow reported this weekend across BC
Across Western Canada, ski resorts and highway passes were blessed with snow this weekend. Temperatures dropped to winter levels, and resorts such as Silver Star, in the photo above received 5cm of snow. After a less than stellar season last winter, is this a harbinger of new weather patterns caused by climate change?
With snow levels falling, it felt more like ski touring than mountain biking would be on the menu. But with the cooler weather and precipitation, the trails were actually in great shape . After a season that never really got going until February and snow falling in June, is it time to consider changing the ski hill opening times?
