      Arcteryx Theta SV Bib PantsArc-teryx has a bit of a less-is-more philosophy and the Thetas are no exception. These bibs have simple, high-performance features that make all the difference in the battle to stay warm, dry and comfortable.

      Many other gear makers use materials other than GORE-TEX with varying levels of success. My feeling is that Gore, with all its experience making and perfecting fabrics, has other fabric makers beat. These guys know their stuff and it shows in the performance of the Thetas.

      Fit, comfort and performance—the triple crown of quality touring clothing—are all here in the Thetas. These are a great, “one-pant quiver” pant which have accompanied me in all kinds of conditions and kept me happy.

      I have owned a pair of these for over a season now and they are bomber pants - the fabric holds up well to abuse, scrapes and scratches and the durable cuffs prevent slices from your ski edges. They fit well and are super warm on windy storm days, I wear these 80% of the time and break out the soft shells when things warm up a bit and there is little or no wind. True, they could use a bigger bib pocket but value for you money, the Theta's deliver.
