Wild Country Flow 2.0 Harness Review

      Summer Mini-Reviews
Rather than go on and on about a piece of gear, we’ve prepared these mini-reviews to quickly illustrate what we like or dislike about a piece of gear that you might be in the market for. These are quick-read-format reviews that won’t take more than a couple of minutes to read so that you can quickly get up to speed on the good, the bad and the ugly of gear we’ve tested.
The Flow 2.0 is not Wild Country’s lightest harness as this honour goes to their Mosquito Harness which is 105 grams lighter and a much more minimalist, higher-end sport climbing harness. The Flow 2.0 Harness is a more versatile, all-around climbing harness with more comfort and support which is ideal for indoor, outdoor, sport and multi-pitch climbing. The Flow 2.0 is engineered with a clean, sleek design and uses air-permeable padding with a comfortable inner mesh fabric lining for increased breathability. The adjustable waistbelt uses a single pre-threaded, quick-adjust buckle to prevent tying-in errors. The waist belt itself is designed to ensure that any loading is well distributed across the lower back to prevent pressure points. The fixed leg loops are not adjustable but stretch to accommodate a wide variety of leg sizes while the lower tie-in point is reinforced with a wear indicator for additional safety. On the waist belt, there are two slots for ice screw/tool holders and four 3D gear loops which provide a lot of places for carrying all the gear you’ll need on your next climb. At just $94.95CAN / $84.95US, Wild Country’s Flow 2.0 Harness provides great quality and versatility at an attractive price point.

      Verdict:
Wild Country’s Flow 2.0 is a solid harness for indoor, outdoor, sport and multi-pitch climbing. It’s easy to use, comfortable and not too heavy and overburdened with features you don’t need. If you are looking for just one harness that can do it all then the Flow 2.0 from Wild Country has you covered and is a great value for anyone looking to get into climbing or replace an outdated or overused harness.
