2017 Gear Sneak Peek: Boardworks Verve 11 Touring Board

There were literally hundreds of SUP companies displaying their products at the Summer Outdoor Retailer Show when we attended a few weeks ago. One brand and board that stood out was the Verve 11 Touring Board by Boardworks. This SUP uses carbon strands on the deck for increased rigidity and stability,… plus it looks pretty cool. Its flat rocker has a race profile with a speed finish on the bottom to ensure that each of your paddle strokes is maximized and just looking at this board you can tell its fast.

Its designed for smaller paddlers around 175 pounds given that it is only 11’ long and 28” wide. This helps it cut through the water and track straight and fast. The Diamond Groove deck pad with integrated arch bar and kick tail will keep you stable and allow you to manoeuvre on the beck for faster turns and playing. The Boardworks Verve 11 Touring Board comes with deck tie downs for securing your gear and an FSC Touring Fin which requires no tools to insert or remove.

Overall the Verve 11 Touring Board looks like a winner for those who want to cover some distance on the lake or river and we can’t wait to test one out,… stay tuned.
