      Ski partners in Nelson area.

I'm a Brit who spent last winter in Nelson so I know the backcountry there prity well, previous seasons else where in bc.

I have every day jan to march available as I will bit ski buming for the winter based out of Nelson, I have 4wd and ski on a bc set up. I guess I am more of a social bc skier than extreme, avi trained and into most things. Keen for day trips and well as hut trips, potentially up to Rogers pass and other areas. I also ice climb, easy stuff  3-4 so could be into that as well if any one up for it. Keen to find regular bc ski partners for the winter in Nelson area.

      Hi John,

I just moved to the Slocan Valley from Alberta and am looking for people to ski tour with in the Nelson area. I am avy/first aid trained and have spent the last handful of seasons skiing in the Banff, Yoho and Kananaskis areas. I am more of a social than extreme skier and would really like to get out and get to know the area more this year if your keen. I have a 4wd as well and a pretty flexible skiing schedule.

If anyone else is interested as well please feel free to get in touch.

      Hey John and Roberto,

I presently live in Calgary but I'm in the Nelson area all the time since my wife is from the area and we come down all the time. I too am looking for peeps to get out with and ski. I ski an AT setup always and have taken the AST 2 a couple of years ago. I've been mostly in Kananaskis and Banff areas as Roberto. I'm very serious about safety, and I must get home at the end of the trip. I have a 3 month old baby that requires me to do that. Anyhow, if you still need some partners or are in to adding to your posse, then please send me a message here and I'll get in touch. One way or the other, be safe out there,

      Ryan

      Hey John,

I'm pretty sure I'm going to head to the Nelson area and become a ski bum for a month or two starting Feb 1.  I'm from Calgary, Alberta.  The only thing holding me back is lack of backcountry friends in the area.  Are you still looking for ski buddies?  I'd be a full time skier so would be keen to head out weekdays and weekends.  Are you able to ski weekdays too?  I'm moderately experienced with 4 or 5 seasons of experience and Avi 1 course.  I usually ski the safer areas but am up for bagging the odd steep/exposed peak on bomber days.  If you're up for shredding some pow please let me know.  Thanks,

      Bob
