I would likely be interested depending on the dates. Also in my early 30s and am a skier. I am in Halifax but would be happy to meet you there. I have my AST1 and have been going to the Chic Chocs 2-3 times a year for the past 3 seasons so I know my way around the area pretty good now. 

I will not know my actual schedule until after Christmas but once you have a idea when your going let me know and ill see what I can do. If I can't come on the dates you decide on I am happy to share what I know about the area. You will not be disappointed with the skiing!

I'm a skier and snowboarder located in Ottawa.  Having been on guided ski tours in the past, I plan to spend more time on splitboard in upcoming seasons. I'll be getting my AST1 in January.

Did the two of you end up going on a trip? I'm still interested in going out that direction, i'll be going west in 2019 but chic chocs is my plan for 2020.

@bensnow do you know of any groups in the ottawa area? also how was the AST1? I wondered if we would have enough snow coverage for the practical portion to be effective since ski chic chocs typically run them in Nov/Dec.

Hi BigMac, good to hear from you. I got my AST1 last year.  Haven't been to the Chic Chocs yet, but plan to go there in late Feb or early March. I'll be touring the Rockies in early Feb.

I'm in touch with few skiers/boarders in the Ottawa area. Ski Chic Chocs has ways to find enough snow to run the practice in their AST1 course. Will PM you shortly.
