Nakusp & area trails?
Im new to ski touring but does any one know of any simple-challenging touring trails/routes around the nakusp areaall feed back appreciated

2011-12-17 16:14:21I'm not from Nakusp, but I've done a little touring there. If you head to the ferry and stop at the highest elevation in the road (there is a pullout on the west, which the snowplows use so don't get in their way and a gravel pit on the east). Head through the gravel pit (easier to travel the perimeter) and follow a logging road on the far side. The best downhill part is a narly ravine with a lot of down trees and big boulders. It is probably about 2 hours return from parking your vehicle.
