Whistler Telemark Festival 2015 – March 1st
The love of the turn – join us at the 4th Annual Whistler Telemark Festival for a day of free-heel skiing.
Always wanted to try Telemark? This is your opportunity! Expert shredder? Come and ski with a bunch of other hot Telemark skiers!
All ages and abilities welcome!
In the morning, conditions and interest will be assessed and groups will be made to ski together, exchange tips, and get a few pointers from CANSI instructors. After lunch, we’ll all meet to take over the hill in a mass tele-drop. Join the Festival in the afternoon just for this! The mass drop will be followed by fun head-to-head giant slalom races and other group antics. The day will end with an après-ski party at the Whistler Brewpub for draw prizes and awards for the best classic costume/gear, fastest race times, the best Facebook photo posts from the day, and more!
Take photos and share on Facebook throughout the day tagging BC Telemark and using hashtag #WTF2015. Prizes will be awarded for photo!

Remember, we guarantee good snow because the powder is always knee deep when you Telemark!
Tentative schedule:

8:00 – meet at Blackcomb Daylodge (by Merlin’s) to sign waivers, late registrations, and purchase discounted lift tickets.
8:30 – introduction and group selection
9:00 – group skiing and clinics
12:00 – lunch at Glacier Lodge
13:00 – mass tele-drop (Rendezvous at the top of Jersey Cream chair)
13:30 – dual slalom races and group skiing
16:00 – après-ski party at the Whistler Brewhouse
