Wadi Rum

I've never left the country. At 28, in the community I am in that tends to receive a few raised eyebrows followed by the "why the hell not's". The answer is simple I just haven't felt the need to go elsewhere when there's so much to see and do between our 3 oceans and neighbour to the south. While watching a popular t.v series from years ago on Netflix one of the stand out locations was an epidode to the country of Jordan. Interesting culture, unique topography and lot's of room to explore away from the crowds are all things that interest me in a maybe someday destination. As a climber, I fantasize about using climbing as a reason to travel rather than simply be a tourist. Naturally, when the Wadi Rum trailer aired I got pretty excited about its release and it held up to my high expectations. Maybe one day I will actually leave Canada and go climb in Jordan.  Yeah definitely maybe! One thing is for sure, Jordan looks amazing, the climbing adventurous and the culture incredible.
