Project Dead Stump - Rebuild Ross' Buns

      Hi guys,
We are two Australian travellers staying in the Nelson area for the winter. My partner was involved in a serious snowboarding accident up at Whitewater ski resort four weeks ago.
As we were descending one of Ross' favourite runs at the Whitewater ski resort near Nelson, BC Canada, Ross tripped on a stump and fell onto it, using his bottom as a brake.  He was badly impaled by the razor sharp stump which tore out a huge section of his bottom, smashed his sacrum to bits and left him in a very critical condition. Ross avoided tearing out his colon and the nerve pathways to his lower limbs by less than 3mm on each account. So needless to say, he is VERY lucky for an unlucky guy!

Ross is healing wonderfully now and has shown incredible stamina and charisma throughout this incredibly painful and difficult ordeal.

However, he is now faced with a very significant surgical and hospital bill as a result of our travel insurance company's refusal to pay for his medical expenses. This was apparently due to a malfunction with their onine purchasing process, during which our elected snow sports cover dates were not registered correctly. [As a side note, I do NOT recommend taking out travel insurance with "Travel Insuranz" for obvious reasons!!]

I have appealed the company's decision multiple times now (within different tiers of the organisation) and get the same devastating response each time. Thus I have now put together an online "crowdfunding" fundraising campaign to try and raise the funds,
to allow Ross to heal peacefully without the stress of having to flee Canada as an international fugitive... haha :)

Both Ross and myself would be incredibly grateful to anyone who feels that they have the means to contribute to his campaign! If you feel you can't contribute financially, even just email bombing (or facebook bombing... as we are still facebook virgins) a heap of people that you know (workmates are a good start), or standing on the corner of a busy city street wearing only a sandwich board and a bell, to get the word out, would be a MASSIVE help. If you are an awesome networker, you might just be able to get your company to sponsor Ross' bum, or perhaps line him up some work as a bu*t model??
Remember, if we get 5 cents from everyone in Canada, we could.... REBUILD ROSS' BUNS!!! Haha:)

Ross' official online crowd-funding campaign can be found on "ozcrowd.com", and is titled "Project Dead Stump - Rebuild Ross' Buns".
      The link is here...

      https://ozcrowd.com/campaigns/project-dead-stump-rebuilding-ross-buns-please-help-to-fund-ross-surgical-and-hospital-fees/#.Vs5ylvkrLIU

The website charges a fee which reduces the amount that will actually contribute to Ross' medical expenses, so I have provided Ross' Australian bank account details below where direct transfers can be made to him directly (by those with an Australian bank account or with the capacity to transfer internationally). Otherwise the crowdfunding site has the option of using paypal.

      Account Name: Ross Pointer
      BSB: 923-100
      Account Number: 31222257
I am aware that there are plenty of web scams out there and understand that this might be a big barrier to some who might otherwise like to help out, so if you have any doubts, I encourage you to give Whitewater ski resort a call to verify his accident.
Love and warm hugs for you all, and thank you in advance for your support, whether it be monetary, email/facebook/twitter bombing, flyer dropping, or comic relief!
We can be contacted at uzzy47@yahoo.com if you have any queries!

Love from Kali and RO-SS (Split in Two) xox
