MARKUS EDER HAS OFFICIALLY SKIED WHAT HAS GOT TO BE THE MOST EPIC LINE, EVER.

In spirit of his recent film drop though, from now on it will only be called the “ULTIMATE RUN.”

This new bomb of a ski short — directed by Christoph Thoresen for Red Bull Snow — is the product of 90 days of filming fused together to create the most creative 10 minutes of skiing you will watch this year. It took two years for the film to come together, pushing the versatility of Markus Eder’s freeskiing to its extremes. 

Eder’s Ultimate Run starts off with some huge turns off the top of Zermatt (Switzerland) that send him seamlessly across a glacial ice face as he launches over and in between the glacial blocks. After dropping some massive cliffs and skiing into the belly of a glacier, Eder comes out at the top of his home resort, Klausberg. He then makes his way through the resort, hits a jump with his buddies, pops out of bounds to catch some pow turns in the trees, sessions some avalanche fences, hits some urban spots through Sand in Taufers castle in Italy, makes his way through an old mining town, and backflips into the back of a dump truck that drops him home. 

Seriously though, so cool. With a distinct Tom Wallisch ‘Imagination’-esque vibe, the film is smooth, flowy, and raises the bar for ski films to come... and Markus Eder absolutely sends it.
