Silver Lining To Record Breaking Forest Fires

While enjoying the cool crisp morning at the crag yesterday we were reminiscing about the August that wasn't. Most of us had big plans for August but most of those ambitions went up in smoke, literally. While much of the province continues to burn today we tend to forget quickly as soon as the skies clear. Only time will tell for certain but more aggressive fire seasons are predicted to be the norm. Now, I'm a silver lining kinda guy and I'm also a skiing kinda guy so when I hear forest fire my mind does a little automatic math and calculates how many new hectares of tree skiing is being created.  The ultra classic " The Burn" episode by Salomon pretty much sums up the best case scenario.
