SKIDOO AND WESTBANK MEDIA PRESENTS ‘NINETY / ONE’

Ski touring has really blown up recently, and chances are that your favourite backcountry touring spots have morphed into some pretty hot zones over the last few years. Although it’s great to see the backcountry culture gaining momentum — and the increase in AST courses province-wide means people are choosing to get educated as well — it does mean we are seeing a heavier flow of traffic along our favourite skin tracks, and the competition for certain lines and epic powder pockets can start to feel a little fierce!

So the next step? Get a sled, I guess?

There’s obviously some nitty gritty details to consider... like finding the time, the money and the space. But beyond that, it seems to be the next (best) step towards breaking away from the crowds and finding some of the freshest lines these mountains have to offer. Access is everything!
