Kristin Harila And Tenjin Sherpa climb all 14 8,000+ peaks in just 92 days

Kristin Harila, a Norwegian adventurer and Lama (Tenjin Sherpa) have successfully summitted K2, which is the 14th and final 8000m peak on their quest to climb all 14. On Thursday 27th of July 2023 the pair submitted K2 on the Chinese-Pakistani border in the Karakorum Range which is considered to be one of the most dangerous peaks to climb. With this amazing accomplishment, Kristin beats her own previous True Summit record of 1 year and 5 days which is one-fourth the time. The previous record-holder, Nirmal Purja, a Nepali-born British citizen, had scaled the 14 peaks in 189 days in 2019. Kristin Harila first attempted to break the record to summit all 14 8,000m peaks in 2022 but could only summitted 12 of them as Chinese authorities restricted access to foreign climbers during the coronavirus pandemic.
