Victorinox Swiss Army—more than just knives

The iconic Swiss Army knife has been around since 1884 when it was created in Germany by Karl Elsener and his mother, Victoria. The pair opened a cutlery cooperative that created the first knives which were sold to the Swiss Army. Today the brand is known as Victorinox which produces Swiss Army knives along with Wegner knives who was acquired in 2005.

Victorinox produces more than just knives, however, everything from watches and apparel to travel gear. At PressCamp 2017 I got a first-hand look at Victorinox’s new VX Touring collection which launched this spring. This collection includes carry-ons, duffels and back pack. While the packs are not aimed at the backcountry user they are geared towards travelers and general urban life. There are three backpacks to choose from, all of which have seam sealed zippers and use water resistant materials. Each pack includes room for youlaptop in addition to other gear. Have a look at the following video for a more in depth overview:

Victorinox also has an extensive line of Swiss Army Knives. Two new versions for 2017 are the SwissTool BS and SwissTool XBS. Both of these multi-tools are found in Victorinox’s SwissTool line and feature burnished steel for an elegant black finish which provides better corrosion protection. All of the tools featured in both products have integrated lock releases so they stay safely in the open position. All tools are individually accessible while the tools are closed for ease of use. Have a look below at all the features and watch the following video for an overview of each:
