Note that your water source must be clear. If the water is murky or cloudy, you will need to pre-filter it first, as particulate matter hinders the Steripen’s UV effectiveness and the device does not filter out physical sediment.



The Steripen Ultra UV is Katadyn's most advanced water purifier for treating large volumes of potable water. It features an intuitive OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) display that guides you through the process step-by-step:

If the display shows a sad face, the unit needs to be recharged. The internal Lithium-Ion battery can be powered up via the included USB cable using any solar panel, laptop, or car power port.
