The latest version of Nemo’s Dagger OSMO 3 Person Tent has an updated design which increases its already roomy interior, along with increased vestibule space—all without increasing the tent's overall weight. By integrating an updated pole structure into the Dagger OSMO’s design, Nemo was able to add a full four inches to the door height, two inches to the tent’s peak height, and increase the vestibule space by a whopping 22%. In addition to this, there is a long list of new features that make the new and improved Dagger OSMO one of the best tents we've ever tested. Find out all the details in the full review below.
Nemo has gone to great lengths to ensure the Dagger OSMO is a fully certified bluesign product—the first for a tent, which has traditionally been very difficult to achieve. This means that it meets strict environmental and safety production standards and is made with Bluesign-approved fabrics and components, which are manufactured in a way that minimizes the impact on people and the tent’s environmental footprint.
Nemo’s sustainability efforts begin with their solution-dyed OSMO fabric, which makes up the fly and floor of the Dagger OSMO Tent. This fabric is made from 100% recycled yarns which reduces waste and requires less water for the dyeing process. This fabric also boasts a water repellency which lasts four times as long as traditional materials and has three times less stretch when wet, while providing a 20% higher strength rating.
Nemo's Endless Promise covers most of their products and they are currently working on including the Dagger OSMO tent as well. This means that their designs and logistical partnerships are all created around prioritized one goal, which is to keep gear out of the landfill by using Recycled materials, with designs that are created to be Repairable or Resellable. The most important element of the Endless Promise and by far the most challenging to achieve is the ability to make each product Recyclable. By using a single type of material, Nemo is able to ensure total recyclability at the end of the product's life span.
On the hardware side, Nemo has improved the setup experience with their Axial corner anchor, which accommodates the drop sheet, tent body and fly. It also allows for one-handed setup and tensioning.
Each door has a built-in Gatekeeper door clip which allows you to pin back the door easily with one hand.
The Divvy Cube stuff sack is a rectangular roll top storage bag for the Dagger OSMO, which is easier to use, stows more efficiently in your pack and provides the option of splitting the weight of the tent between multiple people.
To ensure that your pack and hiking boots stay off the dirty, wet ground, Nemo has integrated the option Landing Zone waterproof storage tub into the vestibule.
At either end of the Dagger OSMO you’ll find NEMO’s Nightlight Pockets, which are specially designed to house your headlamp and diffuse its light to illuminate the Dagger OSMO Tent at night.
To create more usable vestibule space, Nemo has integrated lightweight volumizing struts into the tent’s fly with dual tension lines running to a single stake-out point. This simple but ingenious design increases each vestibule’s storage space by an impressive 22% to better accommodate packs and footwear.
To ensure the Dagger OSMO 3 Person Tent lasts as long as possible, I always use it with the custom-fitted and abrasion-resistant footprint. It’s made of 100% recycled bluesign-approved 75D polyester, which adds another layer of durable waterproofness to the Dagger OSMO’s floor.
With an expanded feature set, increased interior space, light weight, and bluesign approved OSMO fabric, the Dagger OSMO 3 Person Tent is a nice improvement over the previous version and leaps and bounds ahead of other tents on the market.

The new and improved Dagger OSMO 3 Person Tent is by far the most livable tent I have ever used. This is mainly due to its impressive interior space and generous headroom. While I typically use this three-person version for just two people, in my testing it is still very roomy for three large adults. A big part of this impressive livability is thanks to the tents bright fabric colours and asymmetrical design. While the interior space is definitely roomy with the dimensions to back it up, the bright and cheerful light grey/lime fabric colour combo helps things feel open and spacious. The asymmetric design has the doors in opposing directions, which also opens up the tent’s interior space as there is no real front and back to the tent and it eliminates that cavernous end found on most symmetrical tent designs. Even though the body of the tent is asymmetrical, the pole structure is not, which means you cannot set it up or put the fly on backwards. This simplifies setup and the need to think critically, so when it is pouring rain, you won't waste any time setting it up improperly.
The design of the corner anchors is another place where Nemo’s design brilliance shines through. They are simple in design, tough in nature, and so easy to use. The poles have a ball end which snaps into place on the anchors so that they do not come unhooked during setup (a major peeve of mine on other tents). There is a place to hook in the drop sheet and fly, which can be easily tensioned.
By far my favourite feature of the Dagger OSMO 3 Person Tent (the list is long) has to be the Landing Zone waterproof storage tub. This optional tub easily clips into the tent wall and fly and can accommodate a large pack and a pair of hiking boots. It provides a protected dry space for your gear in the vestibule when the weather turns foul or the ground is wet and muddy. The only downside of the Landing Zone is that Nemo only supplies one of them with the tent when it would be great to have one for each of the vestibules.
While I have not used the two-person Dagger OSMO Tent, I can only assume it is just a smaller version of the three-person version with all the same great features. So, whether you are after a two or three-person tent this summer, my suggestion for you is to consider the new 2025 updated version of the Dagger OSMO Tent as it is better than ever and any other tent I’ve tested.
