New for the 2025/26 ski season, the 4-Quattro GT Boots from Scarpa join the popular 4-Quattro lineup alongside the SL and Pro versions. The GT model is built on a 101mm last, offering higher volume over the instep for those with wider feet. This roomier fit, combined with thicker liners featuring a thermo-reflective layer, makes the 4-Quattro GT Boots warmer and more comfortable for a broader range of users. With a versatile 110 flex rating—compared to the 130+ flex of the Pro version—the GTs position themselves as a strong contender for a quiver-of-one boot.
While Scarpa’s Maestrale Boots are the best-selling alpine touring boots thanks to their light weight and solid performance, they don’t offer the all-mountain fit and performance of the 4-Quattro GT Boots. If you want to save weight and prefer a seriously lightweight pseudo-rando racing ski touring boot, consider Scarpa’s F1 LT, F1 GT, or F1 XT models. For hard-charging resort skiers who occasionally ski tour without losing enthusiasm, the 4-Quattro GT Boots excel.
The 4-Quattro GT Boots use a shell and cuff constructed from Desmopan PU, a thermoplastic polyurethane that provides high wear resistance and flexibility across a wide temperature range. This material also reduces the carbon footprint by incorporating recycled content without sacrificing quality or performance.
The men’s version of the 4-Quattro GT Boots offers a 110 flex, while the ladies’ version has a 90 flex. Both feature a 61-degree range of motion in walk mode, comparable to the 4-Quattro Pro and Maestrale RS Boots.
Besides the more accommodating fit, increased volume, and wider last, the 4-Quattro GT Boots include an updated footbed with a high-tech multilayer construction that blocks cold transfer, maximizing comfort and warmth.
Like all boots in the 4-Quattro family, the GTs feature full-length traction soles and are compatible with both tech and Gripwalk alpine bindings.
The 4-Quattro GT Boots are versatile quiver-of-one boots built for all types of skiing—from ripping resort laps to backcountry powder touring.

While I love the stiff, burly performance of the 4-Quattro Pro Boots, the friendlier fit and slightly more forgiving feel of the 4-Quattro GT Boots offer a welcome alternative for those of us with average to wider feet. When fitting the 4-Quattro Pro boots, I had to punch them out at the front on the outsides so my pinky toes had some breathing room. With the 4-Quattro GTs, they fit perfectly right out of the box. Their medium width is snug in the heel pocket, holding my ankles securely with adequate support through the instep without feeling cramped on the top of my foot, while the toe box provides ample room in the forefoot.
The 4-Quattro GT Boots deliver solid, confidence-inspiring performance thanks to the 110 flex rating, which might actually be higher than Scarpa’s assigned number. Since flex ratings are not based on defined parameters but assigned by the brand, it’s hard to know the exact figure, but I would estimate closer to 120, which is definitely not a bad thing!
Although not as light as the Maestrale, weighing about 190g more per boot, they remain acceptable for big vertical days. The polyurethane shell and cuff flex well and won’t slow you down. Compared to the 4-Quattro Pro or Maestrale RS Boots, they are equally skilled climbers.
Scarpa’s Maestrale boots have become a little cushier in fit and perhaps less capable in the hard-charging department than they once were, which is perfectly fine—they serve a large portion of the market seeking that balance of skiing experience and comfort. I find the 4-Quattro GT a great blend of the older Maestrale’s fit and comfort with a more aggressive freeride performance—not as extreme as the 4-Quattro Pro Boots, though. While you still have to manage four buckles and the cabriolet-like design with overlapping tongues, the resulting foot hold and ski performance make the slight weight increase worthwhile.
If you want a high-performance, lightweight hybrid ski boot that excels both at the resort and on ski tours, with a relatively stiff flex and an easy-to-use ski/walk mode offering over 60° of cuff rotation, this powerful, yet comfortable and forgiving boot is for you.
