COMP - Overnight trip to Diamond's head
Report on a recent trip to Diamond's Head area, in Garibaldi provincial Park.
We stayed at the Elfin lakes shelter, which gets really busy on Saturdays (People who arrived late ended up sleeping on the floor, on the benches or even on the tables !!).
We skiinned up the loggin road and paul's ridge in the clouds with very wet snow, water-skiied a slope in the Gargoyles area on Saturday afternoon and back to the shelter.
Sunday morning we found 15cm of fresh snow on top of the crust, with the sun coming out, so we decided to make it to Diamond's head (the very little peak south of Mount Atwell). Not really steep slopes but with the sun and a nice scenery we couldn't complain !!
