Tree well rescue at Mt. Baker - VIDEO

  • Online

This video of a recent Tree Well rescue at Mt. Baker is a must watch. The snowboarder was very lucky to have someone spot him and this person responded quickly and efficiently, likely saving his life. Tree Wells are often overlooked as possible areas of immense danger, mainly because they are hidden out of view. Be sure to practice Tree Well extrication as part of your avalanche preparedness routine each season and never wear ski pole straps so that your hands are free in the event of an emergency.
