Anyone got any Beta on Kootenay Pass and how the touring is after this new 42cm of storm snow? Stability?

  • 2009-12-18 21:00:26

I was there on Monday--pre-dump--and everything was super solid and stable. We did the Lightening Strike route and ended Lunch Box adjacent. Pictures to follow (hopefully). The snow was good but there was still the occasional stick poking out at lower elevations. The recent 42cms will have helped with coverage. We enjoyed some great turns!

This has to be one of the earliest big dumps of snow in recent memory - has anyone had any success making some turns w/o a major P-tex investment? How much is up there now?
