Monica Meadows
Monica Meadows is a wonderful hike that offers unbeatable views with little effort. The service road leading to the trailhead gets quite rough though, so a high clearance vehicle is necessary. The trip in total takes 4 hours, being 8 kms of easy and well maintained trail. There are many places to refill water and dogs are permitted.
After 7 steep switchbacks up the trail, it evens out and you’ll find yourself surrounded by open meadows. continue onwards to reach a small summit with a great view and nice spot to have a snack. Remember that these alpine meadows are very sensitive and easily damaged so the less impact you make, the longer they can be preserved for future visitors.
