Sneak Peek: Next Season’s New Fischer Travers AT Boots - VIDEO

Two years ago we reviewed the Fischer Travers AT boots and for the 2019 season Fischer is updating the entire line-up. The Travers will have the same incredible cuff rotation and light weight but the ‘Easy Walk’ ski/walk mode mechanism and gaiter system have been upgraded and there are now more versions to choose from.

The Travers TS is the most economical version and made from traditional ski boot plastic so it’s a little heavier than the others. The Travers GR is the Grilamid version which is considerably lighter and comes in a Ladies version called the My Travers. Still lighter is the Travers CS which is also constructed out of Grilamid but comes with a carbon sole to make it even more rigid. The lightest boot in the Travers line-up is the Traverse CC which is again made with Grilamid but incorporates a Carbon Cuff and Carbon Sole. The cuff is molded in a natural ’open’ state so there is no risk of breakage it and this helps make the Travers CC stiffer and lighter, weighing in at under a kilo.
