Dec 31 Evening Ridge

Had a nice tour up evening ridge on new years eve and found alot of tracks, tree bombs and sun crust so needless to say it was less than spectacular skiing, however the north face was a different story. Fewer track and no sun crus made for a nice descent - not the longest run around Whitewater but still far enough away from the resort that there was not much traffic.

If you venture out though bring a map and compass as it is easy to get lost and redirected on the flats as a few unfortunate people did the day earlier. Visibility was very low and if we were not familiar with the area it would have been very easy to get lost.

Hoping the forecasted snow storm will bring a clean slate to the terrain and improve everything - however winds are also coming so beware of snow load and windloading.
