Thursday: We should see 15-20cm of snow above 1800m by Friday morning, and the freezing levels rising to 2000m with moderate to strong winds from the south-south west. 

Friday: While there is uncertainty in the forecast the cooling trend should have begun to bring the freezing levels down near valley bottom by the late afternoon with light, scattered flurries and light winds from the north.

Avalanche Activity:

I suspect given the current weather pattern there may be frequent natural avalanches in the backcountry until the rain stops and temperatures drop again. No new reports of avalanche activity in the last few days.

Snowpack:

The snowpack is fairly deep for this time of year. Reports put the snowpack at treeline to be in the range of 90cm to 180cm depending on your location. A few wind slabs near the surface and buried in the top third of the snowpack may lurk at ridgeline on northerly aspects. There does not seem to be any other significant weak layers within this snowpack at this time.
