These individuals appeared to do everything safely, although the exposure to overhead hazard and some misrepresented data about the slope angle of the terrain ultimately resulted in a fatality. My personal takeaway: pushing the envelope with slope angle in a persistent slab scenario is asking for trouble, as your data may not be reliable or consistent.
