Avalanche Conditions Report: Sleeping Dragons
The deepening snowpack seems to have some sleeping dragons within it, as Whitewater Ski Patroller's Wren McElroy and Lo Bachand discover. In this latest Avalanche Conditions report they'll dig a full snow pit and perform some tests to show you what you should be concerned with. A soft slab has been created by some new snow and warming over the past week. This all sits on top of a weak layer of surface hoar now down 30-40 cms.
