Hey jack, rope and crampons are not mandatory unless you want to get into more technical terrain. I would bring them along as it sounds like you have the skills and this would give you more glacier travel options howevere most will be well covered by now. You need a park pass for each person and a backcountry pass if you are camping but you can stay at one of two huts at Rogers. I would recommend the asulkan hut as it is a great hut and has lots of incredible skiing. Contact the ACC (alpine club of canada) and watch the video review of the asulkan hut on this site under the video section.

Not sure what current conditions are but it has been snowing for a week almost non-stop so lots of Poe but likely high Avi danger.

I think that we’ll bring crampons and rope with us to have more travel options.

We are gona stay at Glacier Lodge for all the week. So I just need a park pass for each person. Isn’t it? And is it possible to by a weekly pass? Where?

Another suggestion: wide but heavy skis or light but tight skis??

Perhaps also of not is the Winter Permit System. Due to highway avalanche control work in Rogers Pass there are a number of winter restricted areas as well as prohibited areas. The best thing to do is go to the Rogers Pass Discovery Centre when you arrive. There they will make sure you get all the permits you need and give you any advice that you might want.

Fat skis are essential - it always snows at Rogers Pass!
