Kootenay Columbia Summit

Having never hiked in Rossland, I tried out a quick little trail up Kootenay Columbia Summit. It’s only 4km and takes about 2 hours total from the starting point of the Centennial Trail head parking lot.





There’s a cute little bench at the top with a nice view of Rossland and wild flowers galore. Just make sure you follow the little KC signs and you’ll reach it in no time. The paths are very well maintained and wide at times, which would make for a great snowshoe climb in the winter.



It also seemed to be a popular spot for mountain bikers. There’s everything from easy to expert rides and although I don’t mountain bike yet, this area really sold me on how much fun it could be!
