      BC Southern Interior Conditions And Meet Up 2019/2020

      I encourage everyone to check out this thread regularly and contribute to it often. Early season skiing is only a snowfall away and typically early season turns are had in September.  Below are a few photo examples I hope to see in this thread. Have a great fall, winter is upon us!

      Hey,

      Just wondering if you or anyone has any experience with Malakwa (The Gorge) in the last few years?

      Can you drive up? Is it cleared off? Any tips on the distances to go and where to access some skiing and how frequently it has an uptrack etc? Not a lot of info on it and nothing recent really.

      Hi Kevin, 

      it's probably better to be comfortable with track setting if heading out into these more remote areas. Gorge road is being plowed right now to 26km mark. Common parking areas are at 14 km and 17 ( pretty sure )  The terrain isn't very complicated and offers great skiing. Do bring a radio as they are longing 7 days a week.

      Rogers pass update. Asulkan  approach is in okay condition prepare for medium suffering.  Connaught is in good shape. There is a temp crust up to 1800m, all steep solar will now have a crust. great sking on gentle souths and steep norths yesterday. SH up to 10mm observed and SH on the summit on ursus minor 6m. Something to  think about. Urus uptrack is ummm, not boring at the moment.
