      What's better than the original GOTAMA?

      I LOVE the original Volkl Gotamas (black with an image of a buddha or 'sperm head') and they have been my 'do everything' ski for a few years now. As my bindings have broken I'm thinking it is time for an upgrade!? So right now I could buy new bindings and fit them to the old goats, or I have two new ski choices: a second hand pair of the Blizzard The Answer IQ Max Skis (not sure which year) with Fritschi bindings or the new Salomon Rockers (reviewed in this forum) with Guardian bindings. I've heard great things about the Rockers….but money is an issue so the cheaper set up would be preferable….or maybe I just get a pair of solid touring bindings for the Gotamas? Thoughts?

      Which Rocker 2s are they?  I've skied the Rocker 2 122 and it's a ton of fun for fresh powder, but wouldn't be my choice if I was skiiing any chop or hardpack.  I hear the 115 or 108 are more versatile.  


      New skis are fun!

      They are the Rocker 108s! I just got back from the ski hill burning a few turns on the Blizzard Answers - it's a nice ski but felt a bit light....I bet they are awesome in the powder but for really charging I think I might prefer a heavier set up. It sounds like the Rocker 108s might be a more versatile option.
