        Sneak peek of next season's Black Diamond snow safety products

        Black Diamond has been busy upgrading and creating new product this year and you’ll get to see the fruits of their labour in fall 2013. New product for the 2013/14 ski season from Black Diamond include 6 new shovels, 5 new probes, a new snow saw pro and 3 updated alpine touring ski boots. 

         



        NEW Shovels

        An entirely new line up of shovels which include the Black Diamond Evac 9 and Evac 7 shovels which function in standard and hoe modes. The Black Diamond Transfer 3 shovel and the Deploy 7 and Deploy 3 shovels. And last but not least the no-frills aluminum Lynx shovel.

        Black Diamond Shovels

        Black Diamond Evac 9 & Evac 7 Shovels

        A multi-function tool for comprehensive backcountry use, the Evac is Black Diamond’s top-of-the line shovel and features two configurations: standard shovel and hoe mode. The ultra-durable construction and super compact design are ideal for both daily snow study and fast avalanche response.


        Black Diamond Transfer 3 Shovel 

        With a redesigned blade construction for cleaner snow study and easier stomping through hard avy debris, the Transfer is the workhorse shovel with a removable, extendable shaft for working in deep pits.


        Black Diamond Deploy 3 & Deploy 7 Shovels

        A curved, trapezoidal shaft that nests inside the blade, the Deploy is our go-to shovel for rapid emergency response and compact, minimalist storage.


        Black Diamond Lynx shovel

        A durable, no-frills aluminum shovel with a T-handle and fixed shaft, the Lynx is a simple and streamlined snow mover.


        NEW Probes

        An entirely new line up of Quickdraw Probes in Pro Carbon 320, Carbon 240 and aluminum 300cm, 280cm and 240cm.

        NEW Snow Saw

        A new snow saw called the Black Diamond Snow Saw Pro which features a compact, folding design and a serrated, stainless steel blade. 


        NEW Alpine Touring Ski Boots

        For 2014, Black Diamond has decked out their Alpine Tour Series boots with a fresh look as well as a warm, comfortable and completely redesigned liner based on the liner from their award-winning Factor Mx Boots. The Alpine Tour Liner’s high-performance, out-of-box fit is also thermoformable and comes with a 103-mm V-shaped last and a reflective metalized Strobel base for all-day, coldweather comfort.

        In addition to fresh colours and graphics, Black Diamonds ReVolt and Cosmo headlamps get more lumens and a new, more intuitive user interface. They’ve also completely redesigned

        their go-to ultralight headlamp, the Ion. With a sleek, modern, touch-sensitive housing and an incredible 80 lumens, it’s the brightest light for its size on the market.
