Backcountry Skiing Canada was in Denver Colorado for the SIA show and had a look at the new 2013/2014 Outdoor Research Floodlight Jacket.

The Floodlight jacket is a completely waterproof 800-fill down jacket with Pertex Shield Plus outer fabric.Their are no seams as the stitch holes would allow water to penetrate, instead the inner and outer materials are bonded together to create channels for the down. There are also waterproof zippers, to make this a completely waterproof jacket and not just water resistant like other jackets on the market. There are also two large interior stuff-it pockets that are ideal for skins and gloves.
