Outdoor Research, or "OR" as it is commonly known showed off some new duds at the 2013 SIA Show a few weeks back. The OR Valhalla jacket and pants for him and for her are made with Gore Windstopper Xfast with 4 way stretch which is totally windproof and highly water resistant. The garments use seam taping in the shoulder, hood, seat and knees which OR calls their "critical seam taping". The traditional pit zips have also been improved upon on the OR Valhalla jacket as you can zip them from the bottom of the jacket all the way up for "torso venting".
On the pants side of things the OR Valhalla Pants offer big thigh vents and a dedicated transceiver pocket with tie down points so it stays secure.
