Arc'teryx Alpha SV Glove -- Review
We got a pair of these super sexy Arc'teryx Alpha SV gloves at the end of last season. Though we've only had a few days with them in winter conditions, an excellent first impression has been made--and we promise to share more after we've beaten on them this season. Take a look at the write-up here.
I got a season and a half of use with the Mitt version of these. The fit is incredible. That's why I bought them and felt pretty stupid to spend that much money. But they hold a ski pole like nothing else I've used.
Of course you don't use these for skinning up! Occasionnaly on a windy ridgeline, or when it's -30 out. I use the Venta LT glove for the uptrack and it works great for me. My friend goes barehands and that works great for him.
I get cold hands easily. That's why I got the Alpha Mitts and not the Gloves. Still, I get cold hands in these sometimes. I'd say they are mid-range for warmth. And I agree that these are good for the ski hill. For colder days, I bring arctic circle down mitts as well.
