Sneak Peek: Volkl Mantra Skis - VIDEO
For fall 2018 Volkl will be updating their iconic Mantra Skis. They'll have two flavours, the Mantra M5 and V-Werks Skis. We're big fan of the V-Werks skis and have reviewed two models to date, the Volkl Katana V-Werks Skis and the more touring focussed Volkl BMT 109 Skis which won our Gear of the Year Award in 2015/16.This will be the 5th version Mantra Skis and this time around they'll have a Titanal frame, carbon tip and a Titanal strip in the middle of the skis which utilize a solid wood core. The Volkl V-Werks Manta skis on the other hand are a full carbon layup with a strip of Titanal down the middle. This is the lighter more streamlined version of the Mantra M5.
Having skied both of these Mantra Skis at Winter Outdoor Retailer in Denver last week, I can tell you they rip. We're looking forward to getting our hands on a pair for review shortly so stay tuned for more info.
