MEC Tour 32 Backpack Review

Mountain Equipment Company or MEC as it’s known has launched a series of new backcountry-specific products and their new Tour 32 Backpack is now an award winner! It’s lightweight and fully featured with everything you need for a great day in the backcountry and nothing you don’t. Thoughtfully designed, tough, styling and ready for adventure, the Tour 32 Backpack has it all.

The Tour 32 uses a durable 210-denier nylon with UHMWPE ripstop fabric that is water-resistant and lightweight. MEC states the weight of the Tour 32 Pack is 1.1kg in the short/regular size, and the way they achieve this impressive weight reduction is by using slightly smaller webbing, clips, buckles, adjusters, zippers etc. While this is not as light as a ski randonee backpack, but once you see the list of features you’ll know that it outdoes the competitors.
