La Sportiva’s Alpine Touring boot line up will be expanding for the 2018/19 ski season. In addition to the popular La Sportiva Spectre 2.0 boots (reviewed here) and La Sportiva Synchro’s (reviewed here) there is now the La Sportiva Solar AT Boots.

The Solar for men and Stellar for women are a simple two buckle AT Boot that use an innovative Z-style buckle over the forefoot to keep your heel seated and foot snug. A Swing Lock ski/walk mechanism is located on the spine of the boot and is made up of a simple metal bar which swings out of the way for walk mode and swings back for ski mode. Th Solar/Stellar boots are Ideal for the general touring market who want a lighter AT boot that’s super simple to use. These new AT boots will retail for $699US and be available in the fall of 2018 so keep a look out here for a full review.
